My WoRSt FEAR!!!!!!

Ryan stayed out at Nana Cheryl's house on Saturday night. She took him shopping before heading out to her house. I didn't anything of it until we went to pick him up yesterday...he was wearing a HUSKY HAT!!!!! Yes, you read that right! A PURPLE AND GOLD HUSKY HAT on MY CHILD'S HEAD!!!!!!!

He was running around the house yelling "The Huskies ROCK!" I told him those were bad words at our house. He looked at me with huge eyes and asked "Are you kidding mom?" I replied, "No Ryan I am NOT kidding!" He said, "But mom Cody Bruns plays for the Huskies!" I had to take a DEEP breath and admit to my almost 5 year old "Yes, Ryan Cody does play for them and I promised Cody I would watch his games and root for HIM but that I couldn't bring myself to buy or wear and purple and gold." Ryan smiled and said "I can." I guess I have a MAJOR rebel on my hands!!!!!!!!

I babysit for some avid cougar fans...One day their two year old son needed a change of clothes, well the only thing I had in that size that wasn't PINK was a husky outfit....so I sent him home in husky clothes. I was told in no uncertain terms that next time I better send him home in the pink girl clothes!!

Amy, I can soooo feel for you. We are Cody's neighbor and I told him the same thing, but it still just about kills me to watch a Huskie game!!

It's a good thing Cody is a great young man or Cougar fans everywhere would have no part in this Husky conversion. I think Ryan looks good in purple and gold. Just think Amy...if he goes to the U, the shopping is better on parents weekend;)

That's so funny! I taught Jamie Fazzler to sing the Cougar fight song when she was three. Her Dad about died!

Hey Amy- I've lived here for 9 years and I'm still an avid Husky Fan; the Seattle girl in me; Ryan can secretly cheer with me "GO DAWGS". Yep they are not doing well either. My dad is ready to give up his season tickets that he has had for 20 plus years. I told him he needed to cheer Cody from Prosser. Your blog is inspirational; I need to do this; I recently joined facebook now I will add this to my list. Fun...Lolli is right shopping is great in the U district.
